Pastoral Care, or the Ministry of Presence, is something we take part in whenever we listen to someone who is hurting. It may be in the grocery store, sitting at the bedside of a dying person, talking formally in an office at the church or taking Holy Communion to a person who is homebound. We will spend this time talking about what it means to truly be present when someone is in need of the Ministry of Presence. Our leader, Deacon Kristin LaVe, is a hospital chaplain in Billings MT and brings with her not only her experience as a chaplain but also the time she has spent in congregations as the Minister of Music.
